Built Together.
We build with our neighbors, not just for them. We partner with towns, landowners and local businesses to foster stewardship and shared use of the trails.
Kearsarge NEMBA is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to building and maintaining sustainable, free, shared-use trails for all ages and abilities throughout the Kearsarge NH region.

Previously Kearsarge Trail Coalition, Kearsarge NEMBA is a volunteer‑led chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association partnering with local landowners and towns to design, build, and maintain sustainable, shared‑use trails throughout the Kearsarge, New Hampshire region. Through community partnerships and advocacy for outdoor recreation, the chapter works to provide free, accessible trail networks for people of all ages and skill levels—and we're just getting started. A regional trail master plan, new trail corridors, and long-term stewardship are all on the way for 2026 and beyond.
Stewardship that supports these six principles.
We build with our neighbors, not just for them. We partner with towns, landowners and local businesses to foster stewardship and shared use of the trails.
Hiking, biking, and beyond—our goal is family-friendly trails with all-season access, designed to meet trail users where they are at.
We are committed to trail building practices that protect and support soil, water, and wildlife. Every project is subject to IMBA and NEMBA standards for best practices.
With a focus on beginner flow and skills progression, we aim to build a network of trails that foster growth and give way to more advanced opportunities.
We are volunteer-led by a group of people who care deeply about the land. They pick up the tools and plan the events because of their deep love for the Kearsarge region.
We advocate for funding, access, and policies that keep mountain biking and shared-use recreation sustainable and thriving in New Hampshire.
From swinging tools to drafting master trail plans, here's where our energy goes.
Sustainable, IMBA-spec singletrack and shared-use trails — designed to handle weather, wear, and decades of use.
Drainage, brushing, signage, blowdown clearing — the unsexy work that keeps trails open year after year.
Mapping future corridors, working with towns and landowners to weave together a connected network across the Kearsarge region.
Beginner-welcoming group rides, skills clinics, women-led rides, and family days — because trails are made to be enjoyed.
Working with municipal boards, conservation orgs and private landowners to secure long-term, public-access trail rights.
NICA-aligned programming, school partnerships, and Trail Ambassador efforts that get the next generation on dirt.
From the slopes of Mt. Kearsarge to the Sugar River valley, our region offers an unbeatable mix of terrain, towns, and shared-use trail potential. Eleven towns across three working zones.
